Are these discs any good? It is a center fold. blades are like new and new bearings. It is 18-20 feet wide for $2500

How much horsepower to pull this disc?

A 3300 is a heavy cutting disk. Center fold or not your gonna need a few ponies and some weight to pull it. The last disk you were looking at with a few blades off would pull easier and do a better job finishing.

Unless your fields are nearly flat as a pancake I would not recommend any centerfold disk I don't care what color it is.   You get on some rolling land with one of those things it will make such a mess that you will practically need a dozer to smooth it out.

They work great on flat land though.

Father in law had 1. Behind a 7060. Was a dirt turning machine. He used it on side hills and flat ground. I did not notice a big problem on flat or steap side hills. I planted corn behind him disking. This has been over 30 years ago and memory is very bad. If I had the horse to pull it I think I would give it a serious look see. Good luck.

I have flat, gently rolling, and goat hills here, and  the AC centerfold did really well, cuz it flexes. it was designed well!

We don't have a single problem with our 2500 center fold on hilly ground.  The little bit of flex that it has is working here for us.

I have a 3300 center fold disc that I pull with a 7060 with duals.  If you're cutting very deep at all I wouldn't want less tractor on it.  Getting it level is the big problem.  It can ridge so bad you'll have one heck of a time leveling the field.  Very heavy frame.    You're right about John Deere single folds.  Our tenants are all Deere except for their disc.  It's red.  They used to have a JD single fold and quit using it.  Parked it in one of our sheds.  Went out and bought a Case IH.
