If reaching behind your back to move the levers is difficult, this may help.

This is the original:

First mod:

Second mod useful with a loader hooked to the remotes.

Close up.

We did something similar to our two 7020s we cut wedges out of levers bent them to make them more user friendly and welded them back together. We now have two 8000 series I do not notice them being awkward to use. On second thought maybe a little after a long day of use. rieg swoh

May have to try some adjusting on my 8070.It's useable but annoying. Can't compare to the 220.

Did you cut and weld them back?

Yes, I removed the levers, cut them shorter, overlapped them, welded, and painted.

When the levers are overlapped it eliminated some side wiggling. That's a bonus.   As these tractors get houred up, the pivot holes get worn.

On the shorter handle version, I had to modify the the other end of the control cable by lengthening the valve pivot bracket, making it just as easy to operate as a long original lever.

If you want another pic, let me know.
