I have an 82t mower. It has a double acting Prince cylinder with a vent in the bottom port. What was the correct Allis Chalmers cylinder used with this mower?

The correct cylinder will be determined by the tractor pulling it.  Older systems, use 3500 psi one way cyl, newer systems can use a lower pressure 1500 psi cylinder...  State the tractor you plan to use, and we can tell you the correct one to use...

The tractor I am using it with is a WD45. The owners manual for the mower shows a cylinder with the hose fitting on the ram end of the cylinder, not the bottom like an Allis single acting cylinder.

This is the cylinder used on the mower.  I think it is higher pressure rated than the standard 2 way but it functions as a 2 way. Probably similar to the 3000 PSI of the welded construction version.   It is not at all like the original AC high pressure design. Many regular 2 ways were used on AC High pressure systems but you could blow them out if the tractor pump was up to full pressure capability. AC also used this 2 way before they went to low PSI systems.  You should be able to use this cylinder on most any tractor......Dale

if your using it on a WD45 the correct cylinder would be another WD45 cylinder. the implements usually had a cylinder matching the tractor cylinder. We traded a # 3 three mower the dealer took off the WD cylinder and put a C cylinder on in its place. since we put the mower on a C the larger WD cylinder took to much oil.
