Hi all,

I have an aunt who has an Allis 211 Disc she is selling and wants to know what it is worth so she can price it.

She believes she already has a buyer, but wants to ask a fair price for it. She asked me to find out knowing I am an AC man.

I'm not up on these newer implement prices though, so any advice is welcome!

Tires are not great. She is supposed to be getting me some pics, but hasn't yet. I've seen it briefly a few years back and I believe it has a newer replacement cylinder on it if I remember correctly.

Located in northern WI.

25 years ago or so I could buy good ones for $25 to $50. 10 years ago I saw a super nice shed kept one sell for $800. Today I'd suspect it would be closer to $50 than $800.

I didn't know there was a 211. I thought there was a 210 and 212, but not really sure. Are you talking about the old WD-WD45 era wheel disks?
Is it pull type or does it have the parts to hook it up to snap coupler for traction boost?

I have a 10' wheel disk I paid $450 for 7 years ago. Had bad front blades and the stop you use to lock it into transport was broken. Seen them go at auction for $400 - $1000

Seems like disc prices are crazy here in Southeastern Wisconsin. I have been watching for a long time and any of the pull type ones go for 600+ (not Allis specific). The allis ones I have seen come up for sale are way to big for my D15 so I didn't pay close attention.

If it has those old Ballpack bearings it is worth scrap value. Replacing those bearings when they go out will cost you WAY more than that disk is worth.

I think they were about $300 last time I bought one from the AGCO stealership for my old 2300 disk. A lot of the old AC disks use a hex shaft so the blades have to be special ordered and custom made because nobody sells them.

It is a shame Shoup or Abeline Machine does not sell these parts because they are really good disks.

The old balpak bearings can be rebuilt. I did one once. Article in the knowledgebase section. Still more expensive and probably not as good as a more modern standard bearing like an Oliver disk uses.

The allis 2200 disc used the Bal-Pak bearing. The 2300 uses a sealed bearing with a hex bore, since the axle is hex shaped. There is a square tube over the axle between bearings that fits a square bore center disc blade.
