I beg to differ with the Nebraska redneck but the hexagon belts are for arraignments that run on both sides of the belt and if run twisted they will flip easier than a standard belt due to less shoulder.   Most factory twisted belts run in deep groove pulleys. HP required determines what belt you use, twist has nothing to with it. If you can use an A belt use the pulleys that are machined for both A and B belts and they will work great. Dodge and Woods both make them.

Belts that need to run twisted MUST be installed correctly as per the machines manufacturers instructions. Done any other way they will roll. AA, BB or CC belts are two belts made as one, side by side.  If you are constantly having problems a round belt may be you only hope.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

If I'm 'picturing' this right , you have a 'mule' drive so a HIGH QUALITY 5L will run very well ! Get a 'kevlar' belt, one DESIGNED for 'tight' corners..regular V-belts only like 'straight' runs between pulleys.

proper belt is 3-4X cost but will last a very long time !
