wanting to mount pump to crank shaft, it is wd45 with factory power steering, wondering what needs to be done to mount a coupler to that crank pulley and what pump will be the best. needs to run the f11 instead of the pto driven pump

Does that pulley have the holes for the front pump adapter? I've heard that the Ford front adapter you can get from Steiner will work on a WD crank pulley. I'd have to go check the model of pump I got from Hyd Surplus, but it was about $250 or so and runs my loader just fine. Mine was on a D17 though. Mounting the pump might be a challenge. Maybe have to fab a bracket that uses a couple of holes for the wide front plate. Or fab some brackets and mount the pump off to the side and use a longer PS belt and drive it that way. AaronSEIA

My pump on my WD is driven from the pulley on the front end of the crank mine also has power steering so pulley has two belts and the ID of pulley is splined for a short shaft that goes out the front to a coupler that drives the HYD pump for a loader. My pump is a Vickers #V2 1S13R15A 20L The seals are bad and the coupling is beat I would like to replace them both I figure I'm looking at $500.00 would like to get this done cheaper if I can. They aren't so great but here are a few pic's of mine.

A front pump system for an A-C "445" all-hydraulic loader had a 1/2" thick drive disc that you or the Dealership had to WELD on the inside of the crank pulley. It fit flush with the crankshaft pulleys front. You needed a line-up dowel slug to get it centered. The pump had a drive connection with two ears that fit inside the two drive slots of this drive disc. I wish I had a picture to show.

Here's is my front pulley ,has a splined insert in center with rubber bushings around each bolt. Hard to see in the pic but there are splines on the end of the shaft. Probably need to align in the same manner Dr Allis described and looks like this one is drilled and tapped for the 4 bolts. Don't have any idea on part #'s probably any place that makes hydraulic hoses might have or know where to find this type or similar couplings.

The A-C built system I am referring to positions the live hyd pump directly underneath the radiator, between the crank pulley and the steering gearbox. Other than the two hoses going to the pump, you don't really even know it's in there.

DrAllis, that does sound like a better set up. Sounds like the hand crank would still be accessible where I cannot start mine by hand if I needed to.

I doubt you'd be able to run the hand crank. I think what the Dr is refering to is something that bolts to the front crank pulley but sits tight so is between the engine and the front pedistal. The AC front pump for the D17 came out the front bolster and had the pump external to the engine. AaronSEIA

If you go to the AGCO parts book and search loaders, it's page 108 of the All Loaders book. AaronSEIA

If you're going to hand crank a loader tractor, you'd have to leave the loader up when you put it in the shed. I've never seen one that would allow you to get in there to wing a hand crank with the loader down.

Page #118 shows the crank pulley and the disc that has to be welded inside the pulley. Also the line-up pilot is shown there too for centering it in the pulley.
