We had one at the Indiana State Fair many years ago. It was hilarious. You should have seen all of the RATS scurrying away after the first few impacts! There had to be at least 20 of them running everywhere! I highly recommend it! They were running underneath the grandstands and people.were screaming! Thanks for bringing this up, Shameless! What a great memory! ------------- sometimes I walk out to my shop and look around and think "Who's the idiot that owns this place?" |

I've watched a few of these on youtube but I'm like some of the others who say they don't care to watch them. I guess it's because I usually work on things to fix them up and make them ready for use. Also, because most of the time the combines they're smashing up are a lot newer than the equipment that we use! LOL I used to enjoy old car demo derbies though. |

get to the 'pits' FAST after the derby and BUY the ones you want ! I scored nice tires/rims real cheap 10 years ago for my first D-14. Scrap yards don't want the rubber ($$ to get rid of, well up here anyway). They had 3 to 4 yr Olds doing power wheels followed by 3 classes of demo derby cars I ran out of time So I did not get to see the combines Fun on the farm.. The one I watched the MF 760's cleaned up. Our local fair the first year recruited some "professionals". There were two guys from Kansas that hauled up a pair of 760's. They just kinda cruised around and let the locals beat each other up then at the end cleaned house. Hit each other a couple times and then quit.
