You have a rod that you pull up to engage the pto on the left side. The lever on the left is your park brake. The big lever on your right should always be in the forward position. When pulled back it disengages the pto clutch. You need to get an operators manual. You can wear some parts out pretty quick with that big right hand lever pulled back for too long. You don't have to but I shut the tractor down to engage and disengage the pto but I baby my tractor.

When you pull back the long right hand lever does it do anything? It is supposed to move the clutch arm on the right side of the torque tube under the floor board. There is a spring on that clutch arm that is supposed to engage the PTO clutch when the lever moves forward. It doesn't move anything on the 6060 I bought. Go through the threads and you will fine a discussion of my problem. Or, PM me. Seized PTO clutch seems to be a common problem on the 6000's. As suggested, you need the Operators Manual.

Yes, the owners manual will tell you everything you need to know. They are pretty cheap on E-bay.

Rod with ball to the left of the seat is termed a seasonal disengagement. Long lever on right engages and disengages the pto. It has to do with crank thrust with the long one pulled back. Position of levers has to do with primary use of tractor at the time. If I'm sidedressing it's long lever forward seasonal off raking hay its seasonal on and control with long lever.
