I was looking at buying a d17 diesel Thompson high crop, it not an original ac high crop but is it worth collecting and restoring?

It is in my opinion. Its not a tractor your gonna see sittin in every barn. I guess it all depends on how much money your willing to part with

It's currently not running but was running when parked ( we all know how that goes Mother Nature can ruin that in a short time.

I always loved that discussion it is almost like they expect you to believe that a farmer parked a tractors because he just thought it would be good to buy a new one for a tax write off or something. ... Most farmers I know ran them till there was something so wrong with them that you just couldn't get it to do anything anymore.

That is pretty common ask him if he means hand clutch or foot clutch it will tell you where you need to split the tractor
