When I get home from a week of training at the CNH training center in Ames, I finally get to remove the 306 and put on my snap coupler and drawbar got in Hutch. Does anyone know dimensions of the pin that holds The coupler bell to the bracket under the tractor? Its a 1955 WD45. Also thanks to all who helped me find everything I needed. Great bunch of people.

The pin that goes through the back of the snap coupler bell is 7/8 or 1". Had it out but never measured it. There is a funny spring inside the bell to keep the latch held up too.

for gosh sakes replace that spring while you have it apart. I did not know anything about there being a spring in there. they get weak and allow things to come unhooked. I have a huge scar on my back where a plow came unhooked and landed on top of me over 30 years ago. Have suffered major back pain every since.

I'm pretty sure it's 1" diameter, but don't know the length. Does anyone know? I'd like to pick one up on the way home. Thanks.

I've seen the pin be the length of the bell, and I've seen it be long enough to hang out two or three inches on both sides.

Regardless of pin length, I will second replacing the spring. My plow didn't get me when it came unlatched; but it was uncomfortably close by the time I got everything stopped.
