Could someone please explain the correct way to adjust the Inching Pedal on a 7045 Powershift for me?

Thanks!
Andy

Make sure the return spring works on the inching pedal. With the pedal "up", you should be able to shove a .030" feeler gauge between the inching spool end and the linkage lever. In short, pretty tight but NOT bottoming out the spool in the valve body. The trans brake is adjusted to Operators "feel". You should be able to step down on the pedal and hit the brake zone stop bolt and the tractor will cease to drive forward (or reverse) and not apply the trans brake. Stepping down further should apply the trans brake. This is adjusted from inside the cab up in the dash where the inching pedal is located....takes 2 short 3/4" wrenches. The brake adjustment is crucial so the trans brake isn't coming on every time you release the transmission clutches. It should only come on after you have entered the brake zone. Adjust kick-down so shift lever fully returns to 4th gear position just before you apply the trans brake.
