Anybody ever chang the head gasket on a1953 CA? Need to know the torque pds on the head bolts, and do I needto replace thecore hole plug? Any advisce on this would be greatfully appreciated.

I'd get a copy of the service manual. You'll need to know more than just the torque specs.
