How hard is it to repack the cylinder on a C?

Unscrew the end slide the packing nut off the end. Pull he old pickings out put the new ones in and screw the packing nut back on. Soak the new packing so in oil before using them.ifi rember correctly there should be 4 leather chevron seals in it. If the Ramos in fairly good shape it'll take you about 30 minutes.one of the ones I did was so bent it would Bailey move. I straightened it on a hydraulic press till it rolled on a flat table and put back together. Since there are several seals even a lightly pitted ram will seal well.

It's been quite a few years since I got seals for a c but I did get seals for a WD 45 two years ago and they were $14 a set.if you don't have a local AGCO dealer try sandy lake. They have been helpful in the past they got me a NLA part

AJ there's a hydraulic place in Mexico that keeps all kinds of things like that to repair cylinders, jacks,and even make parts, and they are good. By the way I left a message for you earlier for a 45 rocker shaft if you have one. Thanks. Leon R Cmo
