bought a cheap set of clamp on's for my 7000 at an auction for $25! tires are pretty well bald but I want them for floatation more than anything anyway. came with 15 J hooks. Looking at my main wheels looks like I will need 16 total for both. so I will have to buy another J hook. no big deal. my main question is what do I do for the Eye bolts that I'm missing? do I remove the clamp nuts and replace them with the Eye nut or put them on the ends? theres not much thread there maybe 3 to 4 threads. another question, anyone know what size EYE bolts (thread size) I need? I don't have a thread gauge. Thanks! |

| how do yours clamp on? My tractor has spin outs and there are either 4 holes in the rim castings I could put EYE bolts in. or 8 rail clamps I could put EYE nuts on. I don't see how 6 would work evenly or do they not need to be spaced even? |

| they make a eye hook that attaches to the rail has 3 screws that tighten to the rail also the way we use hook duels is we take the taps off and put the eyes on the bolts they are 3/4 regular thread Niel |

You will likely be ordering the J clamp from Unverfeth. You can order the eye nuts from them at the same time. I've used 6 clamps for years without a problem but my brand X tractor only has 12 locks to the cast center. Best to have them evenly spaced. Should have said that my duals are T rail snap ons. ------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed |

 Used ones are out there hanging on tractors. My 7000 may have some. Put ad in classified. 3/4 inch regular thread.?????

Four will be fine, that is what we have on our Deere 3020 and the combine. If you leave the duals on there all the time just make sure you check the clamps every season because they will work loose and the clamps will pop off. We have lost a few J- clamps over the years, only had a dual wheel pop off the combine once when I was turning at the end of a field. I didn't realize it was gone until I made another round and saw the dual wheel.
