This 20-35 AC was on a sale yesterday at Dighton,Kansas....I heard that it only brought around $200..It probably went for scrap?? This is a picture from the auctioneers website..In 2014 at Johnson,KS I watched a 20-35 AC on full steel sell for scrap for around $800..It hurt but you can't save them all..

You can see the 20-35 in the right side of this picture..There were about (15 ) D John Deeres there and most of them went for scrap at around $200 each....A rare 1932 D JD did sell for over $3,000..

With the orange paint and elect. start it may have been a 25-40.

yeah, Fred you are right, I didn't notice that right away either.  What is going on with that (what looks like a) starter then?  Both pictures are of the same tractor correct?  They appears to be.

Not being an expert on the 25-40's (yet) I'm trying to figure this one out.  Is the starter in the upper oil pan on those?  So they could have taken an upper pan from a 25-40 and put it on this 20-35 to get a starter?
Then there is the ring gear issue.  Is that just a matter of changing flywheels?
Still learning here...Big smile  Don't yell too loud if I'm way off...

John Deere D's and Old Allis's selling for $200 a piece! Wish I had sales like that by me; I would need a big trailer.

I just heard from a friend that was at the sale.....He said that beside the 20-35 AC pictured there was another one there....He said that it was pretty well stripped but the engine and radiator were there...

He left before the 20-35's sold.....He went to watch the 17-28 Twin City sell and it brought $1200....

The guy that told about the sale on ytmag said that 2-3 scrappers were there...
