Ive got an HD4 crawler loader with a hole in the block…. and I've got a 653 with a great running engine but a bad trans…. Id rather not part out the 653 because the undercarriage and the rest of the dozer is so good. My first question is… Do any of you dudes have a HD4 engine you'd be willing to part with? And I am just scheming here and haven't looked into it yet so excuse me for asking but are the HD4 and 653 engines the same?

AC 2200 engine used - same block can be gas or diesel -

used in cotton pickers, fork trucks and H4 machines .

I had a hole in the block on my hd4 thought I was screwed I drilled it tapped it and put a pipe plug in it good to go! Just an idea :)
