Hi everyone Merry Christmas. I was wondering if the hydraulic pumps are the same in all the 7000 series tractors I have a 7020 in need of a pump and found good used ones from a 7000 and 7010 wondered if they were interchangeable. Thanks!

The 7000 has nothing (and I mean nothing) in common with the 7010 chassis. The 7010 and up hydraulics are pretty much the same. Which pump do you think you need and why??

Well I'm not entirely sure which of the three pumps I need. It has a horrible whining noise and hydracs are full however on hills it looses steering and the power director will hesitate stop and go. It needs to be reved way up for steering to work well but yet its full on hyd fluid and it looks clean.

When did this all start?? after changing the left hydraulic filter underneath ??

Started this summer bailing hay on hill side. Worked fine plowing and discing earlier in the spring and before we did tillage I changed all the filters but tillage worked great. I've got shop tech manual and I see the gerotor pump and flow dividers would affect the steering and director. The hydraulic remotes work just fine yet so does the three point. I'm at a loss right now reading up on them

Initial thoughts low on oil on the dipstick in the cab and the power steering flow-divider spool stuck.

With the seat pushed back and on BOTH sides of the dipstick?? You've cleaned the suction screen to the gerotor pump??

Well, if your 1800 RPM lube light on the dash is working (most are not) and the gerotor pump is acting up, the red light should come on when the tractor stops moving. If the forward motion is occurring under a load, you may have a torque limiter slipping, which isn't a hydraulic problem. You don't say which transmission it has. I had a tractor years ago that was doing some wierd hydraulic things and the right side filter was installed backwards. I've had after-market left side filters cause all kinds of hydraulic problems. Only AGCO filters are recommended.

It has a power director transmission out of a 7045 in it that my uncle installed after the power shift crapped the bed. We use nothing but agco filters on her. The indicator lights donnot come on however I'm not sure they even work.

A Power Director installed where a Power Shift used to be?? that should make your road gear about 24 MPH !!!!

I'm not sure how fast she goes or how exactly he did it all I know is it has all old powers hit levers on side not connected and a new range lever high low and park on left side with reg shifter in center below steering wheel and a high low foot button by left foot
