Here is a video of cutting soybeans this fall with my Gleaner M2 and the new Deere 224 platform I put on it. This field did 50 bu/ac, but I had one go 56 bu/ac. Old girl never missed a lick!

You must have good calendar bars. Do you know if you were running anything over the shoe. I had to slow down this year with my L2 because I was loosing some out of the back. But I am also running an air foil for my top sieve.

I have a 216 JD head on my F2 and love it. Feeds even no more bunches going through.  MACK

Good job Adam ! Nice video also . Does the adapter stay with the head or combine ? What year M2 are you running ? Do you have the the 1 setting or the later model with the 3 settings on the automatic header control ? We put a 1020 CaseIH head on a 77 L2 once , was a great combination .

It has the "trimpte" cylinder bars (I think that's the right name (short tall short tall teeth). Didn't run any over as long as I kept the cylinder full. The adapter is made to stay with head or combine. Don't have head height hooked up, but I believe it is the later model.

It is not a problem to hook the JD header control to the Gleaner system.   MACK

That my goal is to put a deere head on my L2. A 24 foot would be my aim too

Adam, we also have a Bish adapter for our L3 to a JD 653 row crop head. What series JD platform heads would mount right up the this adapter?

I saw a pair of L3's in North Dakota with 24 ft John Deere heads.  Luckly we got a deal on an air reel for a 20 ft head.  It's plenty heavy when the ground gets soft

Great Video!  Excellent paint work on your restoration page!!

Leon, I believe any of the 200, 900 and possibly the 600 series heads should work with it.  I built my own as the closest one i could find was in New York.  About a 10 hours worth of cutting and welding all together.

Thanks Aras.  I'm looking for more projects to paint if anybody needs work done.
