Here in NW Wyoming, there isn't much from Allis. Southern Montana has a lot of Allis and Gleaner, though- there must have been a dealership in Billings. Every other farm near Bridger has at least one Gleaner somewhere. We're kind of looking for a grinder mixer. That one isn't quite what I had in mind

If only you were closer! There's one coming up at auction in late November, so we'll check that one out. If that doesn't pan out, what do you have? Our old one was a Gehl 95. It was definitely a good piece of machinery.

The machinery in the sale looks like what you would see in this part of the world too. They must have grown sugar beets in the area, considering the side dump truck.

There is some beet production in that area, but there is a lot where we are. Side dump trucks used to be very common, but the barley elevator switched to only allowing center or rear dumps. Side dump trucks are now pretty worthless, but most of the farmers have been going to end-dump semis for beet, so the end dump straight trucks have fallen in value. We're one of the few farms that does a lot of small grains. Most do some barley, but everything else goes into beans, beets, or alfalfa seed.
