Hey Guys,

I am traveling at some point from MI to KS. I was wondering what are some good A-C scrap/parts/boneyards to visit along the way. Not looking for anything specific...just wondered what fun stops might be waiting for me.

Thanks,

Tom

Not sure about out that way, but most of the places have stopped letting customer roam the yards due to liability.

Mike's Equipment, Buhler KS. Make sure and call ahead and talk about your intentions. I would think they would allow it, but best to make sure.

They are the home of the 2 pre-production prototype C62s, the first C2 ever built, many allis and Gleaners in the bone pile, and a few in the fixer upper row.

We are up by Goodland and have a decent pile ourselves. poorly organized, with weeds growing up through it, but its still Allis.. :)

Gleaner: the properly engineered and built combine.

If you need parts for your Gleaner, we are parting out A's through L2's, so we may be able to help.

Abilene Machine in Abilene KS has a big yard, but not one of those places you can just walk around. If you have something you are interested in they will sometimes let you travel to the building or pile to look at parts and pick in person.

Abilene is just under an hour from manhattan. Manhattan is 40 minutes for me and Abilene is another 15 miles or so west.
