I have a distributors off an AC B and Farmall M that have considerable wobble from side to side. According to the AGCO parts book, there is a bushing that can be replaced. Has anyone done this? Is it an easy fix? Any tips? I figure I'd put the distributor so it is firing on cylinder 1, mark the timing and pull it. Sound about right?

| Well Dean, I chose an even easier fix. I sent my distributer to Steve at "B&B" and hardly recognized it when it came back. He does an excellent job! |

My mechanic had a challenge coming up with the top bushing for the distributor on my B. So, he swapped the top bushing for the bottom. Been running that way and mowing 4 acres weekly for eight years.

That bushing in the dizzy is one piece originally. You can buy a good bit of time by driving it out of the dizzy housing, cutting it in half, and putting the halves back in reversed. A lot of those oilite bushings are not available anymore. I purchase a long rollstock of it, cut the length I need, and hone it to size after I press it back in. Good for another 60 years. We have exchange Distributor units available on our website if interested. I rebuild em' top to bottom, set em' up on our 504 Sun machine and they're ready to install.
