I put together a new hay video that covers the complete process from cutting to baling. It's about 10mins long and I hope you enjoy. those sights and sounds bring back memories...not the square baler, we had round...but the rake is a familiar sound. Yep, the baling was a little slow.... you said it was on account of her...maybe you did not want to work so hard either :) ------------- Holding a grudge is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die |

| That was cool. Thanks. I'm not a farm type person, I thought you simply cut the grass and it went directly into a baler. Do all balers work like this? In other words, cut grass, rake grass, bale. |

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I never got to do that part. My job was taking them off the conveyor and stacking them in the barn. Hot, dusty, lousy work...but it builds character. Dennis, Cherish the times you get to work with your daugher. And, be glad she is cautious... not slow. Hopefully she'll be that way all of her life. (and you'll sleep better too)

What a informative video!! I really liked not only the content but the editing/production was first rate. I look forward to you making a series of farming videos with all your AC equipment. I am also impressed on the quality and maintenance you have on your equipment. I basically looks brand new. Are those inner rear wheel weights on your CA? I've heard of them but never have seen them. ------------- 1951 CA, 1952 CA with cultivator, 20 Series 8' disc harrow, 2 bottom pick-up plow, forage blower, 2-row rear mounted drill corn planter, Allcrop grain drill, No. 80T sickle mower, MN No. 130 barge box |

Thank you for your kind words. It is my goal to make a series of videos showing vintage equipment working as intended. Most people that have not grown up on a farm don't realize the process of going from dirt to food. Also there are more and more people buying older equipment that have no idea what it is, does or how it works. If my videos can help someone it's all worth the time. I do try to keep the equipment maintained. It's cheaper to maintain than fix after it breaks. I always try to put the equipment away in running condition and greased so I can hook up and go when I need to use it. I do have the rear inner wheel weights on my "CA". I bought them when first got the "CA" and didn't know that they were "rare" or "Hard to find". Just dumb luck. When I fix the hand clutch I will take a few pictures. ------------- Thanks & God Bless Dennis |

I am waiting to see the corn harvest... Nice video I bet once the wagon is full the d15 is working pretty hard. We baled hay with a d17 and a wagon when I was a kid. We always tried to bale the hills first so the tractor didn't have to pull such a heavy load up the hills. I thought it was a little mean to video your daughter on her first attempt at baling but she dis a great job. |

Loved the video....reminds me of my youth....a long, long ago!! I thought I almost got a whiff of that new mowed hay. Shameless, I believe Dennis knows that a little time spent "tuining" up" the mower pays off with a lot of time saved out in the field. Nice square corners without hardly slowing down!!

Great video--Thanks for posting it. Years ago we had a AC conditioner just like yours. In shorter hay it worked fine but TALL fescue and orchard grass it was a nightmare that make the pope cuss. Just curious--What's with all the noise with the rake? My old NH 55 rake runs so quiet you have to look back to make sure it's still there. |

Very nice haymaking video! Thanks for taking the time to post these. We had Allis tractors but other equipment, like New Idea sikle bar mower, New Holland baler. Brings back many memories too! Yup every time I fix the bent tine on my rake I hit another woodchuck hole in the field and bend a different one... I really need to plow my fields and seed them again no clue when they where last seeded I would guess about the 1970s |

Great video - especially for those of us who don't have the mowing/conditioning/raking/baling experience - yet! I didn't know the A-C baler had those 'grasshopper' arms.
