A guy called me and said he had a diesel XT 190, doesnt run sat in his shed for 8 years, Hi on the Hi/low lever , power clutch? doesnt work, It jumps out of 3rd gear , and leaks alot of oil, he is wanting $2500.00 what do you think.

Depends on tires and general condition of the tractor, any idea on the engine why it doesn't run, how bad is 3rd gear all the time or can it be held in? It could be a diamond in the rough it doesn't cost to look and you can make him an offer.

I paid $2800 at auction for a 1967 190xt a year ago that runs real smooth and no smoke but needed a front engine mount plate and had a leaky injector line. Came with 18.4x38 and 11x16 all real good tread. Compared to that $2,500 is high but I thought I got a real bargain.

I currently have over $2000 in parts alone to fix 3rd and 4th gear on my XT! In my opinion, $2500 is way too much for a tractor that doesn't run. Keep looking...

I gave $2500 for my XT 190 with cab..But motor was torn apart,down to the block.. and High gear jumps out. I rebuilt motor completely! I had $1600.00 in the parts alone.head cost me $600 by itself.. So I have over $4100.00 in my tractor,Runs Super,will last me my liftime..Will need some paint soon. ( $50.00 will cost me) and some rear tires someday.but I have a new tractor..When I m in road gear I put rubber tie down on shifter.works great. I just priced a used zero turn mower for $6300.00..And I have to say..My tractor,will outlast,and our value the mower by far.. Im very happy with what I have.We just got to realize, that we can`t find the $500 tractors setting anymore..thanks Dave
