Factory it would have been PO 1 but I am planning on painting my D17 serries 1 PO 2 with the cream grill. If it is a tractor you want to take to a show I would paint it PO 1 because it would be a neat conversation starter. But I really like the PO 2 better and I think the D serries tractors look much better PO 2 if it was older then the d serries I would probably do PO 1 but I find it too bright.

All D-14's were old PO#1.

Just picked up this D14  a couple weekends ago and would kinda like it to match the others.

Then I say paint it to match it will make a nice looking line up.   I could really use a couple of those right now my d17 would like some coworkers. ...

I think you should come up here and 'test paint' using one of my D-14s. Maybe paint one PO#1, another PO#2, 3rd with cream accents, and the 4th , well the one you really like.
That way you'll see what all D-14s look like BEFORE you paint yours  ! LOL.

Bottom line, your tractor, your time, your money...paint it as YOU see fit. Anyone complains, tell them to repaint your tractor using THEIR paint and THEIR time. end of 'discussion'.

Whatever colors you use, use good quality paint. My first tractor I painted with cheap implement enamel and it faded badly.
