I'm looking for a starter wiring diagram for HG6E, 1960 model. I have a jensales manual but besides being hard to read, it doesn't cover my dozer real well ( it's for older machine). Any help is appreciated.

24 V system and should be same as early / or simple in bat cable to starter, solonoid wire to  switch to supply voltage to solonoid coil . ground wire to lug on starter to good ground.

hd6 no dead no mo! had a friend look at it, the kind of guy that thinks in electrical circuits unlike us mere mortals, two minutes later starter works fine. flushed fuel lines, changed fuel filters, some ether, and we are making real dozer motor smoke! If i ever figure out how to post pics I will.

After getting dozer to start first time,it now fires almost the second you press button. There is alot white then gray then black smoke ,but it is getting better. the bad thing is the oil coming out of stack after a minute of running, seems like someone talked about oil getting into injector pump from crankcase, but I don't rember for sure .Any help would appreciated.

The frst think  check your oil level on dipstick if the motor is not over full and start the motor and remove the radiator cap if he has no bubbles in after check you air breather long pipe if she is not plug and check your air filter he could be plug too.

does that engine have a turbo? could be a leaky seal there. also, have you run it to burn out any extra fuel/oil in the exhaust from cranking but not starting?

I did check radiator while running and no bubbles, but have only run it for a couple of minutes, 5 or 6 times. The smoke is getting clearer each time so maybe excess fuel or what ever could be just burning off. The motor is a 6000 series and I don't think there is a turbo.I was told by previous owner that it sat for 15 years, but was being used up to day they parked it. just so you guys know, I don't really  know mechanic stuff , and I really appreciate your input.

I now have oil in the radiator, but no water in oil. On ib dozing, there was a comment that oil cooler O-ring could be bad. Seems like it should be simple fix if that's the problem, now just need to figure out how to get it off, and find parts.
