we had an oil leak on our WD  motor that my son rebuilt in high School about 8 years ago. So i ordered a new oil pan gasket and rear seal after watching dons video on the replacement,  gave them my engine serial number because they have a differant gasket after a certain number. We got ambitious last night pulled the motor got it on the engine stand and apart  ant the new gasket is more than twice the thickness of the old one.  the old gasket had one piece of rubber sandwiched in it , the new one i can see 3 pieces .  my engine serial number is WD244085  the part number on the new gasket is 70241294.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.of corse its the holiday and everyone is closed today and i would like to get it back together.

I think i found out why it was leaking so bad, it had no F gaskets in it.

You were given a rear seal for a D17 rather than a WD. Believe all WD rear seals are the same and only change came with the D17

Like Bill said you got a set for later ser #201/226 engines, the right AGCO part for your WD rear seal is 70227120.
Or you can do what I do and just call Tony at "Tony Carbaugh Enterprises" (877) 602-3994 and ask for a pan gasket and rear main seal set.

Here's just one more Bo-Bo the on line AGCO parts has wrong,
they show late ser# engines using 70227120 and early ser # engines using 70241294 and that is back-words,
The right way is early ser# engines use 7022710 and late ser# engines use 70241294.
