I inherited my families AC D-15 II this year.  I got it started a couple of times, but I think the switch is failing.  When I did get it started, it ran better than I can ever remember.  The oil gauge, amp gauge and temp gauge were all in bad shape or not working.  I ordered AC replacement gauges and installed the oil and amp first then went to the temperature gauge.  When trying to turn the temp threaded adapter out of the block, the thread broke away from the nut top.  I will have to get an easy out and try some heat to break it lose.  If that doesn't work, drilling may be an option.  Any advice will be appreciated.

First thing I would do is to try Kroil, or atf/acetone.  If there is meat enough left, use a pair of American vice grips, and just tap back and forth.  If not, use a Spline type extractor, of the right size, like this set:   https://store.snapon.com/Combination-Extractor-Sets-Extractor-Set-20-pcs--P630634.aspx" rel="nofollow - https://store.snapon.com/Combination-Extractor-Sets-Extractor-Set-20-pcs--P630634.aspx

I would use a small (3/8") impact gun, or a battery drill impact gun, and just rattle on it at a low torque setting.

if that doesn't seem to work, I would go to a pipe nipple screw type extractor, like these:
