Any one out there could tell me what size , manufacturer's number , etc. and where to look for the correct size the two fan belts for my HD11B with serial number  2675 ( vintage 1955 to 1957 )  ? Got the one for the generator with no problem . The people that got me that one are stumped as to why the ones they sent me are to short ! The ones I asked for are part number 4335452 in the parts catalog I have . They couldn't find it with that number so I suggested adding a number 7 in front of the number I had . Then they said --- no problem but sent me a 74335445 and insisted that they sent the right one ."MinnPar" in Mounds View , MN  . Those ones are at least an inch short ! Thanks in advance .

Not sure whether this will help or confuse! From my parts books

AC Forty Five grader with Lanova engine was #4348694. C 60 fits on ours

Ac 45 with 10000 engine was 4363593

Both drive off the crank and have the same pulley part numbers. The engines in these are similar to HD 11's

Good morning Mr.Beale ,
Thank you for the reply . I have the "Buda" engine with the belts off of the Crank and around one other pulley that the generator belt goes across as well . I am going to have a guy check the length on the one you suggested any way this morning to see how long it is. As far as I'm concerned --- any info I get is well worth following up on . You never know what was in the minds of the various engine designers and they could have copied just to save effort .
Thank you and I hope you have a great day down there . I have a new neighbor who just bought the small farm next to me who  is a citizen of Ireland but lived most of his life in Australia  and is still the Chief Correspondent for the Sidney Morning Herald . Small world!    Mac

What I ended up doing for my HD5 was going to industrial belts to fit. After installing alternator and replacing generator I came up with size by using a old belt and cutting it to size for a measurement - then taking that cut belt to store and using a belt measuring ruler to match to correct size . I used a B width belt and have been using them for last 30 years .

Coke-in-MN , Thank you .Still trying to find an exact match with cross reference numbers first though . Then I'll do your idea if I'm unsuccessful.

Hope you got it sorted - like Coke says it is much easier to find industrial belts. The graders crank pulley just drives the fan (with a tensioner pulley) and drives generator (now alternator) and water pump off the back of the fan pulley. They're all C-section.

You have to be a particular type to read the "Sydney Moaning Herald"!

Hi again Ian ,
Seems like a decent sort . A bit to liberal for my way of thinking though . Works O.K. though because we don't talk politics . Likes a good "Scotch" also and gave me a good bottle of Jamesons Irish Whisky to thank me for looking out for his place when he's not here . Starting out as a pretty good neighbor .

To each his own - so long as that doesn't include recruiting me.

You'll likely better don your body armour before you ask him about Andrew Bolt though

I'm a Jamesons user too - single malt at blended prices until it becomes fashionable
