Got a guy that needs a engine for a 1982 745-C Wheel Loader Fiat Allis and I am wondering if my 516 out of my N7 Gleaner Combine would fit without a lot of Mods. I have no idea on this one.

Thanks in advanced, Darryl

At a guess Darryl, flywheel change to suit 745`s torque converter, and maybe flywheel housing. Those are not difficult tasks

516's were the factory power for the 745 loader. If he has the old engine he should have the parts that are needed  to install your engine.

No it wont fit, dont junk the N7! ******* :)

Yes, if he has the blown up engine, should be a matter of getting both on the shop floor and swapping stuff over so it will drop right in.

But seriously, do some searching, would be a shame to junk the N7 if there is allready another engine sitting around on craigslist ready to go. What year is your N7?

I got the engine in a complete skid that I bought for my pulling tractor that I sold. The guy I bought it from scrapped the N7. I heard this run and has 3400 hours on the complete engine and only 1 season on the complete new bottom end. Nov. 1980 engine. PM me if anyone interested on this. Guy I am talking to wants to figure out if he wants to do the work and switch items from engine to engine. Thanks Darryl

The thing to do with that engine is to find an nice N6 or R6 with a junk engine and drop the engine into that.  Big combine on the cheap.
