| Hey everybody. I just have a few questions about these tractors. There's two Allis Chalmers going to be sold in an auction a couple days from now and there's some things I need to know. There's a 7020 with 2978 original hours and an 8050 with 6989 original hours. What are they worth? I'm not sure the condition of either one of them yet. We are going to look at them before the auction. Both these tractors are one owner and have been on this farm there whole life. Are these reliable tractors? I don't know anything about them. What are some common problems? Thanks for your time. |

Cowboy, I appreciate you coming here to ask this question, and welcome to the forum. Please understand that based on the information you provided, there is no possible way to offer you a value. Oklahoma tractors are typically in ok shape, deeper south the worse they get. What kind of life did it have, heavy tillage, light spraying, all road hours, etc. What are the tires like, rears are worth more, so the better or closer to new, the higher value. What is the maintenance history, what are the major repair items that have been done. That is the trouble with pricing over the internet, prices are so subjective. I have seen decent running 7020s sell as cheap as 6ish grand, but more typically with good rubber, in the low teens. One with great paint, stored indoors, and all maintenance records would probably fetch into the low 20K. Oklahoma tends to have cheaper tractors, so those numbers may be a tad high. | Is the 8050 a FWA? That is a huge issue. A very good, clean 8050 with FWA and power shift transmission can fetch 20 K. Start taking away features, and the price just drops from there. Neither one of these tractor models have a bad reputation, so if they look good, don't be afraid to own one of em. Darrel |

Looks like both tractors have stadium lights, that always a plus. All the windows seem to be there so they arent totally abused, looks like they have just sat in the sun all there life. The 7020 is a black belly so later model, doesn't look to be a powershift but the power director trans is said to be bulletproof and pretty much the same with the 8050, pretty much the 8050 has more updates so it should be better? If the 50 has the throttle on the side councle instead of on the dash its either a 84-5 =more updates. I want to say that the 8050 and 8070 had the same trans so it should hold up longer since it could handle more power? We own both tractors i perfer the 8050 just cuz its PS and the cab is alot bigger and nicer. Now for price its all over the board, it depends if your looking for a tractor or for a deal. In minnesota 7020 5-9k 8050 12-18k course some are higher some are lower and condition is a factor. example in MN: 7020 6000h really good paint and tires $6k. Just have a good idea what others are selling for in your area. both are good tractors, i would be afraid to buy either of them. Most important thing is how the owner treated them.
