Hi Guy's I'm looking for engine parts for a ford Industrial engine. What is the difference between the industrial engine and one in a Ford car it is a 1.1 liter engine in a OMC Mustang 345 Skid Street ??
Thanks Rod

Most industrial ford motors were gas 134 CI, 172CI, or 196?CI. A few applications also used a pinto motor. Look on the valve cover, should have an ID plate, midway down the side of it, IIRR.

Usually, Industrial engines have forged pistons, stellite exhaust valves and a steel crankshaft, etc, etc. They aren't the same, even tho they might look the same to you. In the case of a GM 350 V-8 they even had 4 bolt main bearing caps on the Industrial version.

I would bet the cam shaft / valve overlap and timing are different for a constant speed motor (2000 RPM) compared to a car.
------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I think the 1.1 is a British made engine. Not the same as a Pinto engine that was 2.3L
