I own an Allis Chalmers 200. I fill hydraulic reservoir to full. Tractor runs fine for a time. Then the hydraulic oil gets transferred to the transmission reservoir. I have to stop and pump it manually back and then the issue starts again. Any idea what is causing this to happen?

Welcome to the forum. It's most likely the seal on the input shaft of the transmission. That requires a split at the rear to fix, and I would replace the PTO seals while there.

To search on here, use a google search and add allischalmers.com to the end of your entry.
If you want to get by, I have seen guys remove both drain plugs and add a tee to each compartment so they could connect the 2 together. Kinda farmerized, but it works on some of the older tractors for a temp fix.

I've had the same problem with my D17. Goes a couple months before I pump it back. $4.00 hand pump vs. splitting the tractor. Not all that bad but I will get it fixed when time/money come together.

When you T the two togather you will have one too full or the other too low. If you fill it to trans. level, you over fill PD causing PD clutch to run in oil which churns the oil, heat the oil, and takes HP. If you run trans. low as PD, you could seaze first gear(or others) to pinion causing big $$$$$$$$$$ damage. MACK
