Purchased a 7000 at Online Auction from Applefarm Service in May of 2021. When I went to pick up the tractor I was handed the original manual as well as a past bill for an engine overhaul. Tractor shows 8000 hours but you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at the three point, hitch, or overall appearance. Tractor runs great. Dynos 109hp consistently with no smoke or blow by. Found the bill to be interesting so I thought I would share it with you all. Looks like Casey's Sales and Service is still around but only selling lawncare equipment. I don't believe Smith Implement is. Also out of curiosity, if any of you know the past owner(s) I would be interested to know what kind of life the tractor had. It looks like the original owner was Lawrence Dishong? Put around 878 hours in 15 months before going to Clayton Oman. Then Jim Ensign had the engine rebuilt. Interesting piece of history.

Thank you for that Steve! I've done some more digging and I've tracked where Clayton Oman used to live threw Google Maps. Was neat seeing the old barns where the 7000 possibly was parked in. Looks like he passed away in 2016 and had farmed for 63 years. The last name I have is Jim (James) Ensign and I have a home address and possible phone number that I will try to call later. If the information I have is correct, he was the Ohio Farmers Union president for Hancock County Ohio.

The part number 9014660 refers to Allis-Chalmers Maroon spray paint, typically used as a historical or trim color on certain Allis-Chalmers equipment.

I wish I knew what was all wrong with it to cause it to be rebuilt. The first item I believe is a crankshift gear. Then its internal engine parts. Looks like a new water pump. I thought it interesting to have a $1,000+ in block repair... I'm wondering if it was being used on something pto and locked up do to overheating because of a failed water pump? Guess I'll probably never know.
