Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that has numerous applications. The best known brand name of PTFE-based formulas is Teflon

That  PTFE is some good stuff. I am not that smart about machining and cutting of threads and such, but by happenstances I sprayed PTFE on some 2 inch pipe I was threading and it took about a 1/4 of the effort to run that dye cutting the tread. I was looking in the back of my truck for a longer pipe to snip the handle on the cutter but here was this can of spray lube that said PTFE added. So I have used it on all threading since. I will not say the Liquid Wrench brand with PTFE was the best penetrating of the sprays but sure did make it slippery where it did get.

But they stopped selling that color can of spray and have not come across any other that says it has PTFE in it. So I assume the "Fruits and Nuts" running the country decided it was bad for me. But I had cans stashed everywhere and just found a few new never squirted cans the other day. I have been emptying the ones that run out of pressure to spray into one of the pint cans you pressurize with air to spray to make my supply last longer than just poring it on something.

So do any of you know if it is available else where?  Or other brands that may have it.
