And how much did it cost the taxpayers for the GM bailout? Maybe the people who's tax money bailed them out should get a check.

The issue gets cloudier every year.  Heck, it gets cloudier every few months even.  What do you want for an "American Truck"?  Built in the USA?  Or is Canada OK too?  Canada is OK, but then why not Mexico? What about ownership and true flow of cash and profit?  Want American ownership?  Well then that rules out Dodge doesn't it?  Pick a manufacturer now, and in 6 months they change a few key suppliers and somebody else moves past them in the rankings of "most American" or somebody writes an article with a different methodology and shows you made the wrong choice in the first place.  Cloudy I tell ya!

well GM's pulling out of Oshawa ,end of this year, so bye bye to 3,000 jobs...PLUS all the 'local' jobs like restaurnts, gas stations, food shops , etc.....
I expect GM to totally leave Canada in 5-8 years as there is NO economic reason to stay...
The 'sheeple' that have always bought GM will continue to do so.
I'd like to buy the Oshawa plant for $1, and make retro El Caminos and old style Rangers.
