    Posted: 30 Sep 2022 at 11:08am
I am in the process of cleaning and re-installing my fuel tank on my 1965 190xt diesel. If possible I am going to install shutoff valves instead of the old bowls which always leak etc. To do this I need to know the fuel tank size fittings I will need for the supply and return connections on the tank? Also should anybody know what size and type of line I will need it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Tank outlets are 1/2" pipe thread. The tanks return on the bottom is 1/8" pipe I think, but could be 1/4" pipe if it is larger than 1/8". I'd just use 3/8' fuel line hose for the supply and 1/4" hose for the return. You do what you want.

Don't go to Oriley's for fuel line. I bought 12 inches of 5/16 for only 19.95. Be a while before I go back.                             MACK

they must have sold you the fuel injection resistant lol! The 5/16" hose I get from them is 27003 Gates and is $4 list.
