Seeing your "0ld" new to you Ford truck reminds me of riding with my uncle Ervin in his 29AA. It had a platform hoist and he was hauling a heavy load of Pea Vines up a steep grade gravel road. As the truck began to slow down slower and slower, the engine was barely running. He told me to open the passenger door and put one foot on the running board. If the engine quit he said JUMP. He was worried that if the engine quit completely, it would roll backwards down the hill and possible end up in the ditch and turn over. But fortunately that didnt happen, and we made it to our destination. I was only 6 or 7 years old at the time. I am heading for 81 in march, but that memory is etched in my mind. I know you will take good care of that jewel, but as someone who has dabbled in the old car market for many years, the unrestored ones alwaus drew more attention than the highly restored ones. over the years, I have had both.

Allis Guys, Thanks! The ragged ol' truck has been a learning experience for me! Glad you approve. I have attended several car shows in the area. Some folks that walk by ask when I am going to paint it? I tell them that it's done! It took 90 years to get this look, the next guy can change it! The original patina just seems to fit the old commercial truck. It would have been one of the biggest trucks on the road in 32. The truck's top speed is about 45 MPH. Mechanical brakes and a shift pattern the same as a WD series Allis makes me feel right at home in the cab.
Our son Adam was at the wheel for a spin in the 32 on a nice fall day.

Daveingreenbay, Awesome story of your uncle Ervins AA truck experience! I have memories of my uncles old dump trucks chugging in low gear with a load of gravel! Hope I am going at 81! you have 10 years on me!
ACinSC, Yea I warn folks about the brakes too, just need to plan a little more when coming to a stop!:) Many farm tractors with no brakes set me up for this old truck!
