Might want to check with your DMV here any thing over a 3500 is a commercial vehicle unless its farm plated then its restricted to 150 miles from the farm.

As it turns out, a 3500 flat bed is sold commercial only as well for some reason where a pickup box is not. May end up sticking with a 3500 do to the combo weight issue. Looks like it can be registered down to 10001 lbs which will allow more trailer weight. Problem according to DMV is if the tow vehicle is commercial registered, insurance on any trailer towed behind it must also be commercial or would not be covered in case of an accident.
