Can somebody tell me if Ferd is still using those fiber cam gears and if not when they quit puttin them on the gas v8 motors? Maybe they tougher than they used to be. Only got 6 degrees slop in this 125k mile 5 liter when i looked the other day. This truck has to make it down to Thads an back
I still gots my A/C but it's clear out in the barn now.

 Gosh Les,,,how are you measurin that slop in the chain,,? That sounds like a little too much and will affect the timing to cause a hard to start and poor gas milage,,,,But Not To fear,,,I'll wager ole Thad and you can put a quickie overhaul on that 302 in a couple of days,,,,he,,,he,,,may even have you one all ready to stab in there so don't hesitate and just throw caution to the winds and just GO, Go, Go,,,,,,,!!!!!

Was a EPA requirement to lower engine mechanical noises, all are still using them.
