Question? What would be the series or model number of a 6' snap couple disc. Would like to buy the manual etc but want to make sure I get the right one.

That is a 100 Series disc. So, yours would be a #106.

So here is my next question, how well do they work the soil, I just sold my bigger wheel disc about two weeks after I bought this one for my CA, so this is my only disc for now.

They're not very heavy. You'll probably be okay in the spring with soft dirt. They'll do a pretty good job in that capacity. However, in the fall with hard, dry dirt you'll probably have to make at least two passes if you're trying to cut cornstalks or even heavy soybean residue. I used a 4" disc grinder to sharpen my blades. It took awhile but seemed to help a little bit (maybe it was just wishful thinking). Good luck.

I've never liked a rigid disk like that as much as an old pull type that gangs sort of worked independently.Good thing about that style is it can be lifted when disking something like a garden.

That is what I bought it for was garden work, we pretty much stopped farming and I was using a 10' wheel disc on a 185 but found this just down the road and I have two CA's, I intend on selling the 185 down the road so letting the wheel disc go was not a hard decision.

You may find you'll need some front wheel weights on the CA. Maybe even the engine/side weights. I know I needed front wheel weights for my WD-45 when I hooked up to my disc. I can still pop the front wheels off the ground if I pop the foot clutch.

I am on the look at for some, we built a rack that bolts on the front end to put slab weights if I have to go that route. I have both a tricycle front and a wide front CA, the wide front may need less weight on the front.

CA side weights are kind of hard to find. This is an ad for B C weights in TN. They will work on a CA, but are shorter. You just have to rig the front mounting bolt.

Yep, I used that picture, I just bought a disc exactly like that from a lady about 20 miles down the road. They just used it like a pull type disc, did not know what brand it was etc. I gave her $300 for it, sold my wheel disc to a young man about 15 miles away for $600, wanted more for it but I knew his family and he just bought a small farm so I cut the price. I have two CA's and a set of 2-24 plows, now I have a disc to fit one of them. I have a 3pt conversion for them was well. Next project is to find a planter.
