We have the 7060 engine torn down and are considering updating to the orange a/f when we put it back together. From what I read maybe we should stick with the green because it is an old system. What do you think? Thanks.

Remove and throw away the coolant filter/lines and just use the modern pink colored coolant.  That's all any new tractor has.

Doc can you keep the coolant filter as long as you use a filter with no additive?

I believe that is correct. You still have 7 potential places for a coolant leak. Each shut-off valve (2). Each line connection (4). The filter can to the base (1). I know of no major diesel engine Mfg that uses a filter any more.

You can but be certain NO ONE puts the wrong filter on it. That's why it's recommended to delete.
