Kinda sounds like one of my C's right now LOL!! --- I even took the guts from a running tractor and put in it. ---Juice across the points, BUT none to the plugs. Still nothing with the running tractor parts installed in this one either. --- Kinda a head scratcher!

When you roll it over with the cap and rotor off do you see a spark when the points open? Did you try a different rotor? Had one where the tab was bad and not contacting the cap. Is the button in the center of the cap in good condition? What about the coil. Did you take the wire from the center off the cap and hold it a 1/4 inch from a ground and roll it over to see if the coil is sending the spark out to the cap?

To be sure the points are working, pull coil wire out of distributor, remove cap and dust cover, turn engine so points are closed but can be broke open by twisting rotor moving the advance. Ignition on,hold coil wire 1/4 in from block and twist rotor. Points should have slight spark and blue spark jumping to block from coil wire. Good spark will jump 1/2in. This assumes you have points set so they close and open correct amount.
