Picked up a g230 engine out of a combine and can't seem to find what the correct spark plugs this engine used, any advice would be helpful.

Early AC45, later AC45XL, depends on thread length in head.       MACK

Chuck,

I have a Gleaner A2 (AII) with the 230 engine.  Just checked my plugs and they're Autolite 405.

Mack,

Thanks. Looks like AC45XL are not available in my searches. Though I find R45XLS.  Still looking though.

Question: I see the manual specifies 25 gap but most of the plugs come 35.  Should I gap it down to manual or leave it? Thoughts?

.025" is what the ignition system was designed for.   .035" is for more modern higher voltage systems.  R45XL or R45XLS will work.
