been using the old d17 tlb with out issue...since repairing the wheel falling off...lol.  yesterday I hopped on it just to move about 2ft of dirt with the back hoe  and it stalled out.  pushed in the clutch and it fired right back up, let out the clutch and it stalled again.....put it in neutral, turned the key and clank....it would start with the clutch in, but even in neutral it'd stall...found out the pan for the power director got a hole in it and all the fluid was gone...jb welded the pan and prayed all night.  the next day i put the pan on and filled it up and it is working fine....

now that you know it still works, I'd be getting that pan off ASAP and having it fixed better
(welded / brazed) before something hits that JB Weld and knocks it loose or it just falls out! You might not be so lucky the second time!!!!!

add it to the list, lol, the old gal is due for a bit of work this winter. one break kinda works,  engine needs an overhaul, a couple cylinders are leaking bad and the psteering has developed a leak.  If I remember right it's a 1957 and it appears it's been used hard it's whole life,  so i guess it's about time to show it some love. lol

I have serious doubts that a newer compact tractor like my neighbors all have is gonna last as long as this old Allis.
