Hello,
My WD was hard to start lately. I would have to go clean the points to get it going. Ran it for an hour Saturday and then it would not start Sunday. Opened the distributor and noticed condensation everywhere. Got the air hose and started blowing, a bunch of water came out.... Decided to remove the distributor and clean it out right. The advance was locked with rust. Cleaned everything out. Now I'm thinking of drilling a small hole in the bottom to drain it. Maybe put a small brass tube and then run a black rubber line down to restrict moist air from coming up. Anyone had problems with the delco distributor filling up? Also noticed milky oil dripping out of the transmission area. Its so humid in SE PA that water condenses in the transmission casings and gets into the oil. My WC once locked the transmission because it was frozen. Regards, acisbest

Cleaned up the distributor. Took advance apart, removed the rust.
Drilled a small hole in the bottom of the distributor to allow water to drain out. Pushed a small brass tube in the hole and epoxied it to the cast iron shell. Ran a small black vacuum line from the new drain pipe down the side of the engine. That should stop the water from building up in the distributor. Regards, acisbest
