Got a great and straight old wartime WC. She is no parade queen, but fenders and all look very nice. Even the steering wheel is good. I have an arch frame wf for it as well as a sickle mower.

It is still 6v and the battery was hooked up as a negative ground. Shouldn't the ground be on the positive? It has a mag and makes a strong spark, but it needs the carb gone through as it just can't get the gas up to where it needs to go.

The shop manual I have in several pieces should cover battery polarity. But polarities do get changed with SAE standards about 1965 no longer allowing positive ground or 6 volts.

has the WC manual at to bottom of the directory in 9 big pieces.

do you have a generator / lights ? Does the battery charge correctly ?  That's your only concern.. Don't matter which way you connect the battery as the MAG dont need it and starter dont care......... but it WAS Positive ground from the factory.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.
