The stack of John Deere 10 and 20 series weights being used for a counterbalence makes me think it is homemade. Still looks neat and useful. Tom

Looks farmerized to me.  If it were on steel, I'd say it had been amished...

Can't see from the pics, but sometimes the rear is turned over, to give more forward speeds.  Looks like a nice job, anyway...Wink
