All you folks down there where the gulf is invading, get the tractors in the barn and head for the house.  I hope you don't lose internet or you may go mad!  Stay safe if you do have to go out!

Well, as it stands now the center of the storm is going to be 30 to 60 miles east of me. Knowing my area, I'm sure I will lose power sometime later this evening or overnight. Otherwise, I think I will fair just fine. Maybe some local flooding and my road may close for a few hours, but I should do just fine. The only real unknown is should a tornado develop. We'll see what happens. May not be able to give outcome for a day or two.

My son was to fly from LA yesterday into New Orleans for a conference. Don't know if it was his bosses or people with conference but on Thursday they still wanted him to go.He told them no way was he going.

Wink I guess so of what we tried to teach him sunk in.Confused Even if we were not sure at the time.LOLLOLLOL

Hope all of you in the area got it figured out how to get to higher ground if it's worse than predicted.

Well the war dept.........er,,,,um,,,,,,,the little woman flew out on Thursday to go to Biloxi so she and the daughter could go to the 'Beau' for some gambling.  I've heard from her every day, so I guess it's not as bad as they were thinking.

Well,it was a miss in my area. As of last evening, we had an inch or rain. Though it seemed to have set in on some rain since 6:30-7:00 PM last night. Too dark and wet yet to see how much rain last night.East of us, even into Mississippi caught the brunt of the rain. Not a lot of wind damage as it only got to 75 mph wind speed with some gusts in the mid 80's. Didn't even lose power here so we were extremely fortunate. Praise God.
