I realize that this is a long shot but you tractor guys seem to be a wealth of information. I I bought a Deutz Allis 5215 last summer with the 60 inch center grooming mower. I love this tractor and it only has 1700 hours on the 3 cylinder Diesel. I am currently giving her the full once over as its the off season but I have a few questions.

#1. What oil should i run in the engine (i have not gotten around to spending 70 bucks on the full service manual)

#2. Finding info about the deck is pretty tough, I actually just found the parts diagram on the Agco parts page this morning. I want check the level of gear lube in the gear box for the mower deck. There is a skid plate on the bottom of the deck to protect the gear box, and of course the pully on top the gear box on the top of the deck. I will have to grind off all the bolts holding the skid plate on as they are excessively worn and deformed from use to access the bottom of the gear box, Do i have to pull the upper pully to check and add fluid? What fluid do I use? Is it your standard 90w gear lube? Would you suggest draining the old fluid and replacing with all new or just topping off? I cant find any manuals anywhere for the deck, so on this one I am pretty much flying blind. Everything else has been pretty strait forward.  ANY help is fantastic or atleast pointing me in the right direction.  Thankyou
