I'm looking for a hydraulic breather cap assy - part number 234763. I called Sandy Lake to see if they had one. Unfortunately, they didn't have one and couldn't suggest a place to find one. Sandy Lake did indicate that it is the same as the one that is on the D15 or D21 tractor. Does anyone have some suggestions where I might find one?
As for the size, it's a relatively small cap. I should mention that the dozer that I have never had one on it when I purchased it. (It was a project dozer.) Worst case, I'll have to make something up. Although, it would be my preference to find the right cap for it. Thanks in advance for your help! |

Is this a mushroom top that quarter turn locks on with spring clips?

It could be - as I have never seen what it actually looks like. It was missing when I purchased the H3. The size of it looks about the same as the hydraulic oil fill cap with dipstick on the other side of the dozer.

Could suggest trying the fill cap/dipstick to see if will even fit if the tube will allow it. If does those style caps/sticks are on most of our tractors and should be in the salvage lots where could just remove the stick.

A push type breather might work - although, it has a flange on it that is configured like the hydraulic fill side.
This is a bit frustrating in that I have never seen one; and, I can't find a picture of it on line. I only have the part number that is referenced in the H3 parts manual.
Thanks for your help - |

That is why I referenced the cap style dipstick vent.

FYI - I checked and the cap with the Dipstick for the hydraulic fluid fits perfectly on the breather side. I think I know how to fix this -
Thanks! |
